AUSTIN, TX—Amplify: Mic.Movement.Market is a SXSW adjacent fundraising event to benefit Shakti Moves Dance Company that responds to the need for performance opportunities that provide a reasonable wage for musicians and movement artists living in Austin Texas. Attend this unique event at Ani's Day&Night on March 15,2025 from 4 pm- 9 pm.
On the last weekend of SXSW, attendees can expect to entertain and be entertained without the crowds and traffic but with the festive fun of an Austin Festival. Erica Santiago, Founder and Director of Shakti Moves Dance Company, and Cassandra DeFreitas, Co-founder of Scene Productions collaborate with Ani’s Day and Night to provide a platform for artists of all disciplines to strut their stuff in a supportive and inclusive open mic forum.

We call this our incubator. This our community’s home base. We hold this space as our place to gather, try out new material, exchange resources, grow networks and support each other’s future events.
